Cookie Policy

How we collect, use and protect your cookies.

Last updated: 13 October 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how ODSY uses cookies and similar browser technologies on our online jewellery store.

ODSY is a South African jewellery business operated by a sole proprietor trading as ODSY.

Please also read our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use and protect personal information.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of information stored in your browser by websites. They can help websites maintain login sessions, remember preferences and provide certain functionality.

Websites may also use other browser storage technologies, such as Local Storage and Session Storage. These technologies are not technically cookies, but we describe relevant uses in this policy.

3. Essential Authentication Cookies

ODSY uses Supabase Auth to manage customer authentication and maintain secure login sessions.

4. Website Analytics

ODSY intends to use Vercel Web Analytics to understand website traffic and improve the shopping experience.

Vercel Web Analytics is designed to provide website usage statistics without setting analytics tracking cookies. Information processed may include page visits, referral sources, approximate location, browser and device information, and visit timestamps.

ODSY uses this information to evaluate website performance and usability, rather than to identify individual customers.

This section describes our planned use of Vercel Web Analytics. It will apply once the service is enabled on the website.

5. Other Browser Storage

ODSY may use Session Storage for temporary checkout functionality, such as remembering a pending order reference while a customer completes payment and returns to the website.

Session Storage is separate from cookies and is generally cleared when the relevant browser tab or session ends, although browser behaviour can vary.

Our initial inspection found no entries in Local Storage or Session Storage at the time of testing. Temporary entries may appear during specific activities such as checkout.

6. Third-Party Services

ODSY uses external service providers to operate parts of the website, including Supabase for authentication, Vercel for hosting and analytics, and Paystack for payment processing.

When you are redirected to or interact with a third-party payment environment, that provider may use its own cookies or similar technologies under its applicable privacy and cookie notices.

This policy describes technologies observed or planned for ODSY's website. It does not claim to list every cookie used on third-party websites.

7. Managing Cookies

You can view, block or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Disabling essential authentication cookies may prevent you from signing in, maintaining a session or accessing certain account features.

Browser controls vary depending on the browser and device you use.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our website functionality, service providers or legal requirements change.

If we introduce optional tracking technologies, we will review the applicable notice and consent requirements before enabling them.

The latest version of this policy will be published on this page.

9. Contact Us

For questions about cookies, analytics or your personal information, please use our Contact Us page and select "Privacy & Personal Data". You can also read our Privacy Policy.
